On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at around 11:12 p.m., a deputy made consensual contact with the occupants of a vehicle on Mustang Street after believing there was a wanted person inside based on the registration information.

While contacting the vehicle occupants of the vehicle it became known that the wanted person was not in the vehicle; however, enough information had been obtained to detain the vehicle occupants.
While performing a probable cause search of the vehicle, the deputy located three baggies containing substances that field-tested positive for both methamphetamine and cocaine as well as other new and unused baggies in a sunglass case.
Also, a discarded baggie containing the same substances was found to have been discarded onto the ground where one of the occupants was.
Subsequently, two of the vehicle occupants were arrested.
The front-seat passenger, 18 years old and of Fredericksburg, was charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/1-B >= 1 gram < 4 grams.
The back-seat passenger, 17 years old and and also of Fredericksburg, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/1-B < 1 gram and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
At the jail, the 17-year-old was found to have concealed three other substances (nicotine vape, THC vapes, and two (2) other baggies of methamphetamine) in his underwear. Subsequently, he was also charged with Possession of a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility [x3].
