We are all saddened by the recent loss of 19 children and two teachers at the Robb Elementary School shooting recently in Uvalde, Texas.

This has touched me as it hit way too close to home. My grandson attends school in Uvalde and while we are truly blessed that he was not harmed, we do mourn the loss of his friends.
Last week our good friends at the Southwest Livestock Exchange held a benefit auction to raise money for a fund to benefit the surviving families. These funds will be used to help the surviving children with long term counseling to deal with the trauma of what has happened. There is no doubt that most of the children will have some form of PTSD as a result of this tragic event.
Last week they auctioned off a cow calf pair that was donated. This cow calf pair was bought and then given back to auction again, after auctioning the pair 16 times they raised $90,000.00.
The response has been so great that this Thursday June 2nd they will be auctioning off a couple more lots of cows, and a herd bull.
I will be attending and helping with the sale, and I am putting together a buying group to help boost the fund.
If you are interested in being a part of this fundraiser, please let me know what you are willing to pledge. ALL CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO SOUTHWEST LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE and I can make arrangements to connect and pick up your check. Or you can mail it directly to Southwest Livestock Exchange at P.O. My goal is to raise $50,000 as a buying group, and I would be honored to represent all of you at the auction.
If you want to be a part of this, please let me know your pledge as soon as possible.
